Letting Go of Being Right

Life has taught me that if I want to rise, I have to get over myself.

This seems to be a constant lesson in my life. They say that EGO is (E)dging (G)od (O)ut. Whether you believe in God or not, it doesn’t matter. Another word for God is Love. So EGO could be perceived as choosing fear over love, or self-importance over humility.

I believe that the only free will we truly have is to choose to connect with Love or not. If we choose to connect with Love, life turns upside down at first, but starts to smooth out. If we don’t choose to connect with Love, we experience our own personal version of “Hell on Earth”.

One of the ways I have experienced my own personal “Hell on Earth” in the past was not being able to admit when I was in the wrong. My prideful EGO used to just hang on to being right at any cost. On the surface I couldn’t stand the thought of being wrong, it was “ME” after all. You know what I’m talking about, that voice in your head that thinks it’s all-important. We all have one; I’m just being courageous or silly enough to admit I have one. But thankfully, that voice is MUCH dimmer now.

Wayne Dyer once said, “It’s more important to be kind than to be right.” When I first heard this statement, I thought he must be wrong. But as I have come to find out, KINDNESS is always right.

Have you ever wanted so badly to win an argument in a relationship, but what you come to find out later is that your stubborn desire to win that argument actually ended the relationship? Oops. Yup, I’ve done that.

Today, no matter what that pesky ego says, choose kindness over being right. Choosing kindness is the same thing as choosing to connect to Love. End your inner conflicts and let go of the need to be right. This may feel like you are giving up some very important point of view and that you have “lost” a battle or debate. But, my friend, what you will see and what I have come to see, is that when you lose the ego battle, you win the battle of the Heart. You trade stress in for peace of mind.

So, let’s allow ourselves to lose the ego battle today. Even though our egos don’t want us to, let’s choose kindness over being right. You won’t die, even if it feels like you might. But you will find peace. Try it. Let me know how it goes…

Your Gifts Need to be Shared to the World

Ask for what you want. Think big and ask big. In an infinite world even the largest request is small.

The key is don’t ask from your ego; ask from your heart. The ego asks because it wants to be superior, made larger and more significant. The heart asks because it wishes to share, heal and inspire the world. When you have a large vision and know your purpose, ask for it in all the biggest ways you can. Know that you have value and that your gifts need to be shared with the world.

We actually need you to think big and ask big. It is the gifts that you bring forth from within, from your heart that are inspired by Your Journey that will change, heal and inspire this world. We keep thinking someone else is going to do it, but the truth is, my friend, it is up to YOU to help heal and change your part of the world.

You can’t do that when you’re small. You can’t do that when you’re not living your purpose. You can’t do that if you don’t have the courage to ask for what your heart desires.

Check this out! The gift that you want to give to this world from the depth of your heart will not only increase the quality of your life, it will actually help OTHER people, too. So if you don’t have the self-esteem right now to ask for yourself, ask then for those that will be inspired, moved and healed from your gifts being revealed to the world.

Jesus, in the Gospel of Thomas, said it best – “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what do you do not bring forth will destroy you.” What you bring forth from your heart will not only save you, my friend, it will help to save our planet as well.

Knowing that, how can you NOT ask for what your heart desires?

It Starts With Ambition

Each and every one of us was born with a seed, a gift, a potential within us. We were each born with this gift in our heart of hearts and it’s our strong desire to birth this gift from our heart, give it full expression, have it be seen and recognized by others and to be compensated for this gift. Each of us knows that this is the life we really should be living.

The ambition of our hearts is calling us to express it. We need an ego to form an identity and to manifest our ideas. The trick is to not let the tail wag the dog. When the Ego is a Servant of the Heart, THEN there will be balance, prosperity and proper manifestation.

When we finally accept our ambitions as gifts from beyond and claim our right to manifest these ambitions that’s when the real magic happens. What would have happened if your role models hadn’t had ambition on some level?

They would have never manifested and been passive observers of life.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a strong desire to express yourself, to be validated from it by your peers and to have enough power in your life to manifest ABUNDANCE.

If we look into our darkness, release our judgments of these sides of ourselves and give them expression, LIFE will finally be in balance. Embrace the ambitions of your heart, give yourself permission to shine, love your EGO (but let it be led by your Heart!) and then watch what happens!
