Communication is Key

How well you communicate directly effects the quality of your life.

In your communication, are you seeking to blame others or find fault? Are you trying to be right at all costs? Is your intention to point out what someone else did wrong? Are you judging the other person? Are you only looking to get your needs met? Do you try to keep others down by creating a story about why you are superior?

Would it feel great to feel peaceful and energized after communicating? That IS the effect of clear communication.

If you want peace, if you want harmony, if you want clarity in your life – master communication.

Here is a great secret to communication, ESPECIALLY in PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: share your feelings and NEVER your judgments. No one can disprove how you feel; how you feel is true. What you “think” about someone else is 100% subjective and can create resistance and distance.

It is wise advice to never start a conversation with “you”, rather with “I feel”. No one can make you feel any way. The way you interpret your life and the events of your life result in how you feel. The meaning YOU give the events of your life determines how you feel – don’t give that power to someone else.

When you share your feelings you create intimacy and trust. As you express your feelings your partner will feel empathy and compassion, instead of judgment and blame. If they don’t, you might want to ask yourself why you are in a relationship with someone who doesn’t care for your feelings.

Communication is a corner stone of the quality of your life. Learn how to share your feelings. Surround yourself with people who nurture and support your feelings and reciprocate. This kind of behavior creates the highest form of living and will bring you much joy.

So, how do you feel?
