Wow, January 1st, 2012! Welcome to the future! Even though it’s true that you can change at any time, the symbolism of a new year is a powerful time to actually create change in your life.
I want you to imagine something for a moment. Let’s go on a little journey. I want you to imagine that you just won the lottery (congrats!). You have a cool $100 million sitting in the bank right now; the financial future is secure for you and all your loved ones.
What would you change about your life? What would stay the same? Would you quit your job? Would you keep doing exactly what you’re doing?
The answer to this question is very telling. Those who wouldn’t change a thing with all the money in the world, are people who are living a fully purpose driven life. Those who would quit their job that day and do what they “really love”, aren’t living a fully optimized life of purpose.
When you are fully living in and on your purpose, you have something money cannot buy – true fulfillment. When you are truly fulfilled by your purpose, having a lot of money is icing on the cake, but it’s not the cake itself. Purpose comes not from any specific set of outside circumstances, purpose comes from the meaning you give the events of your life.
As we move into 2012, I ask you, are you living a fully purpose filled life or are you running the rat race? With the current state of the world, there has never been a better time or more opportunity to create a true life of purpose. At your fingertips is access to almost any piece of information you want to learn. The online revolution is paving the way for every human bring to share from their own experience AND monetize it.
It’s becoming more and more of a level playing field out there. As you step in 2012, what empowering patterns, thoughts and beliefs can you condition into your body? What CALCULATED risks can you take? How can you begin chipping away a little bit, day by day, on what REALLY makes you happy? How can you apply an empowering meaning to all the events of your life?
Maybe the answer is as simple as getting up one hour earlier every day and have that hour be “dream hour”, where you write, organize, plan and act on YOUR dream instead of someone else’s.
I say it so much, but in 2012, make a commitment to SURROUND yourself with POSITIVE and INSPIRING people who have your best interest in mind. Set goals, write them down every day in the positive, affirmative tense. Train yourself to look for opportunity, instead of only seeing problems.
Today is a blank slate. Today ALL things can be made new by a simple change in your perception.
I am wishing you all the best for 2012. I know this is the year that you will break through and have even MORE joy, even MORE love, even MORE success and even MORE fulfillment.
2012 is your year. I believe in you. I am here to support you, but you have to do the work. It’s a new year; what are you waiting for? Let’s make this the best year of our lives!!
